The Hunt for a New New Music Blog
I’m craving some new music today and my normal standbys (to the left under music internet love) are not hitting the spot. I started my hunt by dropping “Sun Was High (So Was I)” by Best Coast in the HypeMachine… and that lead me to three good ones… but still not really what I’m looking for.
The Citizen Insane - good generally pop coverage… too pop maybe? I was turned off by the most recent Lil Wayne article. I tried to like it, but I can’t stand that shit.
Get Off The Coast - too coastal psych pop… very good if that’s what you’re looking for.
Skatterbrain! - Shoegazey based indie pop
For the time being, I’m listening to mixes from Beat Street Records.
I don’t really know what I’m looking for but I’m up for anything… any suggestions?
