Anonymous asked: What is your favorite food that you have tried in Japan?
Can you get it some where here in Mpls? (of course not comparable)
this is the first question i’ve been asked that isn’t founded in attempting to figure out why i’m stupid. i’m no expert on minneapolis japanese food as it’s mostly too expensive for normal life, but I do have a few favorites.
When I’m feeling like I can spend some cash, I head to Kikugawa on St. Anthony Main for sushi.
For lunch, I’ve found two good places in the sky-way. I eat Zen Box, which has the best fast food japanese i’ve had in america… maybe the only fast food japanese i’ve had in america. Also… for the most part, I try to avoid fast food sushi, but this small chain called Sushi Do came recommended by my sushi particular grandma… and it’s good.
This trip has expanded my awareness… so I’m sure I’ll be craving more variety once I get back.
